It's my great honor to take this opportunity to express my special thanks to avariety of people who have helped me a lot during the past four years. Without theirsupport and encouragement, I can not finish this thesis.
To begin with, I would like to thank professor XX who is an excellentprofessor and expert both academically and practically. During my writing process, sheguided me patiently not only on selecting of the thesis title and collecting the originaldata but also research methods and analyzing the thesis data, which makes me benefit alot. Her careful and clear guidance has inspired me and helped me a lot to finish thethesis. I believed that her invaluable advice, kindness and strictness will have a stronginfluence me both on how to teaching and behave myself in society.
Besides, I am also deeply grateful to all the other professors in Foreign LanguagesCollege in Jiangsu Normal University from whom I have learned a lot about modernand advanced teaching ideas and methodology abroad. Their hard work has built ahigher educational platform for my further study.
I would also like to thank the Grade Nine students in my school. They are willingto support and understand my experimental work, taking part in the experiment activelyand enthusiastically.
Last but not least, special thanks to my mother- in- law. During the postgraduatelearning, she relieved me from housework and looked after my son day after daywithout any complaint. Also, I would like to thank my sisters and parents who haveencouraged me to overcome difficulties to finishing the postgraduate learning.

The four years and a half during which as a MA student who majors in EnglishLinguistics and Literature of Harbin University of Science and Technology, is ofgreat importance and deep influence on my academic career. From the preparation ofthe thesis to finish it finally, I have received the assistance and encouragement froma great number of people.
First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere thanks to mysupervisor-Professor Liang Yu, for her patient guidance, useful advice as well asspiritual encouragement in the process of my writing. Moreover, her attitude toacademic researches left me a deep impression which is beneficial to my followingacademic career.
Besides, my thanks wants to extend to all teachers in the English department ofHUST who influence me deeply during the study of post graduation. And to allclassmates and friends who provide many relevant materials of the thesis for me.

First and foremost, I want to express my earnest gratitude to my postgraduate advisor,Professor Liu Ruiling, and her husband, Professor XXX. I am deeply under theinfluence of her meticulous and thorough work style, diligent, truth-seeking and preciseattitude toward scholarship and polite, sincere and considerate attitude to people in mywork, study and even lifetime. My dear professor has given me careful guidance when Ichose thesis topic, conceived the thesis, and arranged the structure. When writing my thesis,I encountered many difficulties and lost my confidence. It is Professor XXX thatgave me great encouragement and support. Professor XXX checked and approvedeach part in my thesis elaborately with her utmost patience.
I owed the great appreciation to those professors in English Department of HUST likeProfessor Zou Chunling, whose excellent lectures at HUST have broadened myacademic vision and provided great benefits to me.
I'm also indebted to my lovely roommates and classmates for their cordial helps, steadfastfavors and academic inspiration. They spare no efforts to give me emotional support andactual deeds when I was writing my thesis. I am deeply moved by the mutual supportamong each other in thesis writing. It will be a beautiful and cherishing memory in mylifetime.
It is my pleasure to study at HUST for four years. I spent the most joyful timewith my professors and classmates. I have learned quite a lot of academic knowledge andtruth about life here.
At last, I would like to dedicate my thesis to my family, who has taken a good care of meboth in daily life and study at HUST. His constant encouragement and unconditionaltolerance and considerate companion are the most powerful emotional anchor for me tocomplete my study.
