Nowadays, some people question about the value of customs and traditional behavioral norms.I think the development of society certainly requires people to evolve from their old perspectives on social norms and traditions, but this does not mean that people should abandon some great cultural heritage that our ancestors have passed down to us.
In terms of the change on customs and behavior ， here are a few areas that are worth developing,In the past, men were the only decision-maker in a family and female members had to obey all the rules set by the males. Besides, women were born to be housekeepers who had to take care of all the housework and their childrens education.
In some regions, women were not allowed to receive further education once they were married. All these restrictions made women live like a slave, so it is about time to free women from the old customs and encourage them to shape their lives differently.
Of course, some traditions are worthy to preserved in the modern society. For example, many traditional festivals of important culture and history. If people no longer care about these festivals, soon identity crisis may spread across the country for people will lose the shared culture elements that give them a sense of belonging. Therefore, there is a need to protect the part of cultural that connects everyone together in the society.
To conclude, it is no longer practical to keep the traditions that discriminate genders or restrict individuals to live their own lives . But the ones that reflect a countrys important cultural heritage should be under protection.

The issue of whether to follow traditional culture is a multifaceted and sensitive one facing the development of technology.It is difficult to say who has the right to judge whether tradition or sticking to modern culture is more appropriate.
Modern ideology pays attention to the acquisition of individual wealth.In other words,people nowadays are more likely to make every endeavor to acquire knowledge and cultivate their work capability to find a niche in todays competitive society for otherwise they would get marginalized.This means that aggressiveness and selfishness would also be generated from this as people in all likelihood are too obsessed with money without consideration of others especially their family.It is an unfortunate fact that an increasing number of young adults are now choosing to work or further study far away from their hometowns.There are environmental issues to be considered as well.Advancing manufacturing ability and improving living standard lead to massive consumption of products,people are also swung by advertisers to purchase excessive items such as household appliance.
In this respect,traditional cultures are probably necessary to solve these negative effects.Values passed down from the old ages,on the other hand,highly focuses on the balance between individuals and surroundings such as natural environment and social circle.It was certainly the case in the past that local people lived harmoniously with their neighbors without worrying about being invaded not locking up tightly their doors at night.They show respect to each other and there are less lucrative relations among people because they live a tranquil ways of life rather than todays business world.Traditional culture also deems family a paramount part of peoples lives.Family cohesion results from this can positively contribute to the well-being of family members as they can gain a sense of belonging to a group.It is also a common situation that people living in the past tend to cherish their belongings by repairing and using it again and thus very much help the reduction of natural resource waste.
I therefore believe that modern culture which is not necessarily always conducive should be upheld together with traditions because we can learn lessons from it and improve our modern way of life.

When it comes to the issue about how to evaluate orthodox ways of behavior and customs, some people may argue that those should be abandoned in the current era, but I cannot agree with this opinion.
Admittedly, some obsolete concepts should not be maintained since such concepts may be harmful for human beings. In the past, when some people got diseases in some tribes, residents may not ask help from doctors; instead, they attempt to rescue patients through some rituals. Then, it is pitiful that some patients who could have been cured might pass away due to such stereotypes. Nevertheless, there still exist more merits acquired from old traditions.
Initially, traditions could be seen as a part of cultural heritage. In Chinese culture, it may take a lot of time for people to make and eat dumplings, but the public are still willing to do it on some festivals. Why? It is because dumplings not only originate from Chinese culture but also show its characteristics vividly. Thus, even in the modern world, traditions like having dumplings may still be kept because they are a witness of history and culture.
Furthermore, old customs should be valued by individuals since they could behave more properly. In the past, it is admirable for people to show their politeness to others, such as respecting others’ privacy or greeting others frequently. Even in the current era, if people realized the importance and necessity of civility, they would better communicate with others and enlarge their social network more easily. Thus, good manners in the past should not be disregarded for the public could still benefit from them.
In sum, old-fashion concepts and customs should be maintained, considering that they manifest uniqueness of old cultures and teach citizens to behave more appropriately.

In recent years, animal protection hasbecome an issue of concern. People take different attitudes towards the increasing attention and expenditure on wildlife conservation. Some people suggest that the spending should be redirected to helping other fields in society. I agree with the view that the investment in wildlife protection is not worthwhile.
Animals, as akey component of the whole food chain, have a profound impact on the sustainability of an ecosystem. As we known, every kind of animals plays an important role in natural balance. For instance, the demise of any species will lead to the growth or decline of other species. In some extreme cases, some species may at the verge of extinction such as Dodo bird. If people did not take actions to protect wildlife as soon as possible, we humans would be affected in theend.
However, there are more issues that we need to focus in our society rather than protecting animals. In current social context, the primary task is still to improve living standards since there are many people living under the poverty line. Only when people are in a good living condition, can they pay attention to other social problems. Besides, technologyand education are another two aspects of governments to concern. These two industries accelerate the development of society, which will provide a better protection for wildlife in turn.
In conclusion, although the animal is a significant part of ecosystem, it is better for governments to invest more finance and resources in other social problems.
