Temporary Hotel Receptionist
Pleasant mediate-sized hotel at the heart of Cambridge seeks a young person with pleasant personality to assist the reception office.
Previous experience an advantage but not essential.
Acknowledge of at least one foreign language.

一、第一部分要求考生寫一份求職申請(Letter of Application for Employment)，當看到此題時：
1.考生要注意審題：
1)首先仔細閱讀該廣告;
2)弄清楚招聘單位對應聘者的要求;
3)假設自己就是應聘者，對照自身情況，看是否符合要求。尤其注意從技能(Skills)、專長(Speciality)、所受過的職業訓練 (Training)、工作經驗(Experience)和教育背景(Educational Background)等幾方面作自我評估，尋找兩相吻合的地方。
2. 寫求職信時應注意的事項：
1)寫明你的詳細地址及電話號碼，以便對方與你聯系;
2)稱呼得當。
如果廣告上沒有寫聯系人是誰，則在求職信的開頭可用：Dear Sir或Dear sirs。保險一點，可寫 Dear sir/Dear madam。 如果廣告上已寫明聯系人，在寫求職信時，你就應寫其姓名：Dear Mr. Smith,或Dear Ms. Shirley Green等。
3)求職信應簡短，引人注意。
3. 求職申請信的格式：
1)開場白(Opener)
最好開門見山，直接寫明你寫此信的目的，避免不必要的客套。

⑵ In replying to your advertisement in today’s Shanghai Daily, I am applying for the position of......
⑶ In /Through today’s newspaper I noticed your advertisement for ... /I have learned that you are hiring...
⑷ I would like to apply for /to be considered as a candidate for the job/ post/ position advertised in... / I saw advertised in / I have just seen in the ...
2) 正文(Body)
寫求職信就像推銷產品，言辭必須具有說服力，能打動對方。因此在正文中，你必須著重強調你的優點、長處，如學歷、工作經歷等，來證明你就是對方希望招聘的人員。但切忌過分夸張。
⑴ My working experience includes two months part-time receptionist with a CNR Co. and one year part-time assistant office manager for Haper’s Stationery.
⑵ I feel I am well qualified to ... for the following reasons...
⑶ I have experience of ..., therefore I may have the ability you are looking for.
3) 結尾(Close)
最后，你可寫一些希望參加面試并請求對方盡快給你答復等客套話。
⑴If my application is successful, I should /would like to...
⑵I am available for a personal interview if you are interested in my application.
⑶I would appreciate an interview at your convenience.
⑷If these meet your requirements, please grant me an interview. I look forward to your early reply.
