英文簡歷的格式結構括頁眉部分、教育背景、工作經歷和個人資料四部分。
1、頁眉部分
1)名字，名字有7種寫法：
例如“李揚”：1) Yang LI 2) YANG LI 3) Yang Li 4) Yang Li 5) Li,Yang 6) Li Yang 7) LI Yang
我們認為這7種都有可接受，比如說第四種-Yang Li，很方便招聘人員，尤其是人事部經理為中國人;但標準的、外資公司流行的簡歷中的名字寫法，則是第二種，YANG LI。
有人用粵語拼寫自己的姓氏。比如，王寫成Wong，李寫成Lee。這只是香港人的拼法，并不是國際的拼法。另外，有一小部分人用外國人的姓，如Mary Smith，這是非常不可取的。因為如果你用外國人的姓，別人會認為你是外國人，或者你父親是外國人，或者你嫁給了外國人。
雙字名，也有四種寫法，例：1)Xiao-feng 2)Xiao-Feng 3)Xiaofeng 4)Xiao Feng，列出四種來，我們建議用第三種，Xiaofeng，最簡單方便。大家一看就知是名而不是姓，要不然，大家有可能會誤認為你是姓肖的。
