Meeting the Deadline!
Today is the deadline for the Bali guide book that I’ve been preparing for months.
I should reread the copy, and make sure the maps are correct. Hmm ... Is anything missing?
Ugh! Such a bulky stack of paperwork! I wonder if I can finish it by today. Meeting deadlines is always tough.
I looked through some pictures I took in Bali while taking a break. I felt like I was in Bali once again.
Now, getting back to the paperwork... First of all, let’s fill out the contents that I missed.
There is no information about some hotels and the one-day tour.
Let me write the information necessary for travelers as I search the data I collected and go through the photos I took.
It should be almost done if I finish this and revise some maps.
Just imagining people traveling all around Bali with my book in their hands makes me smile.
I really look forward to seeing this stack of papers turn into one completed book!

今天是幾個(gè)月前開始準(zhǔn)備的巴厘島旅游指南書截稿的日子。
我得再檢查一遍稿子，還要核對地圖是否正確。嗯……沒有落下的地方嗎？
唉！稿子可真厚呀！今天能完成嗎？每次到截稿日總是這么累人。
趁休息時(shí)間看了看那些在巴厘島拍的照片，我感覺自己又回到了那里。
我又開始了工作……還是先把落下的內(nèi)容補(bǔ)上吧。
我補(bǔ)上了缺的幾家賓館的信息和與一日游相關(guān)的內(nèi)容。
然后調(diào)出搜集的資料，邊看照片邊寫對旅行者有用的資料。
完成這些之后，再修改一些地圖的內(nèi)容就差不多了。
一想到有人拿著我寫的這本書在巴厘島旅行，我就覺得很幸福。
這沓稿紙會(huì)被編成一本書，真令人期待呀！

B: I’m a little nervous because I have an important presentation today.

What shall we do if we can’t meet our deadline?
趕不上截稿日期我們會(huì)怎么樣？
Don’t think about that! We have to finish it. Otherwise the editor won’t leave us alone!
想都別想，我們一定要完成這個(gè)，不然編輯不會(huì)放過我們的。
That’s true. Have you finished going through the maps once again? Are there many things that need to be revised?
是呀。你核對完地圖了嗎？要修改的地方多嗎？
Yes, there are a bunch of things that need revision! The book designer will have to stay up all night.
嗯，有一大堆要修改！設(shè)計(jì)師可得要開夜車了。
Time sure flies. It’s already the final deadline today.
時(shí)間過得可真快。今天已經(jīng)是最終截稿日了。
