The Hippo and I
A hippo lives in the zoo. I like him very much. I often go to see him. He often thinks of me, too. Today is Sunday. It is fine day. I go to see him again. After I leave the zoo, he follows me to my house. I give him lettuce, cabbages, bananas, apples and other food. He eats them up. When I sing songs, he stays in the pool. He is as quite as a rabbit.
In the evening, he jumps onto my bed with me. My mum tells him to go home. He has to pack his bag and go back to the zoo. My mum lets me see him every week.
我與河馬
河馬住在動物園里，我很喜歡他。他經常去看它，他也經常想我。
今天是星期日，是個好天氣，我又一次去看望它。在我離開動物園之后，他跟隨到我的家。我給他萵苣、生菜、香蕉、蘋果和其他食物。他都吃了。

The miser
The miser and his gold Once upon a time there was a miser. He hid his gold under a tree. Every week he used to dig it up.
One night a robber stole all the gold. When the miser came again, he found nothing but an empty hole.
He was surprised, and then burst into tears.All the neighbors gathered around him.
He told them how he used to come and visit his gold.
"Did you ever take any of it out?" asked one of them. "No," he said, "I only came to look at it." "Then come again and look at the hole," said the neighbor, "it will be the same as looking at the gold."
守財奴
從前，有個守財奴將他的金塊埋到一棵樹下，每周他都去把他挖出來看看。
一天晚上，一個小偷挖走了所有的金塊。 守財奴再來查看時，發現除了一個空洞什么都沒有了。
守財奴便捶胸痛哭�？蘼曇齺砹肃従�
他告訴他們這里原來有他的金塊。
問明了原因后，一個鄰居問：“你使用過這些金塊嗎?” “沒用過，” 他說，“我只是時常來看看。”“那么，以后再來看這個洞，”鄰居說，“就像以前有金塊時一樣。”
Three Good Friends
One day, a monkey rides his bike near the river. This time he sees a lion under a tree. The lion runs at him. He is afraid and falls into the river. He can’t swim. He shouts. The rabbit hears him. He jumps into the river. The rabbit swims to the monkey, but he can’t help him. Luckily, an elephant comes along. He is very strong. He helps the rabbit and monkey. Three friends are very happy. They go to the elephant’s home. Then, three of them become good friends.
三個好朋友
一天，一只猴子在河邊騎車。這時他看見樹下有一只獅子，獅子向他跑來。他非常的害怕，掉進河里。他不會游泳，大叫起來。兔子聽見了，跳進水里，但他卻沒有辦法救猴子。幸運的是，一只大象過來了。大象非常強壯，救出了兔子和猴子。他們來到大象的家，在那里吃了一頓大餐。從此他們成了好朋友。
A Silly Man
Fred was going to school. When he passed a park, he saw a man sawing a big branch from a tree. The man was on a ladder and the ladder was against the big branch he was sawing. "Hi, it is dangerous." Fred shouted. "After you cut off the branch, you will fall, too." But the man didn't believe him, and said angrily, "Go away, you little thing. It's none of your business."
Fred could do nothing, so he left. He didn't go far before he heard something crashed. He rushed back and found the man lying on the ground.
Fred asked some men for help. They carried the man to the hospital.
一個愚蠢的人
弗雷德走在上學的路上。路過一個公園時，他看見一個人在鋸一棵大樹的樹枝。"嗨，你這么做很危險的。"費雷得喊道："你鋸了那樹枝后，你會摔下來的。"而那個人不相信他，憤怒地說："快走開，小東西，沒有你的事。"
