　　作為南開大學生物學院這一在中國非常出色大學的老師，我很高興能有機會把我最喜歡的學生之一的她推薦給你們的PhD項目。

　　04年9月，我給她們上普通生物學，這是她們上的第一門專業課程。她表現出了非常濃厚的興趣。我上課的方式比較開放，互動性較強，她是最喜歡對我課上提出問題進行回答的學生之一。她從不害怕說出自己的看法，就算是和我的觀點不一致。除此之外，她經常在下課后單獨找我交流一些對問題的看法，甚至直接到我的辦公室找我。

　　普通生物學結課的時候，我讓學生們就對生物學的認識寫一篇論文。張笑寒的同學的'論文給了我很深的印象，她自主的查閱了幾十篇文獻，對生物學的研究現狀以及一些分支做了獨特的富有創造性的思考，體現出了她所具有的創新性和邏輯性科學思維的良好品質。從她的這篇論文中可以看出她對普通生物學這門課程已經有了一個比較清晰的結構認識。所以她的論文我給了全班最高分，并作為范文讓其他學生學習其中的優點。

　　In September, 2004, Miss Zhang was my students in General Biology, the first professional course they take in the field. She likes it very much.
