　　大家好!我叫xx，很榮幸能夠在這個特殊而富有深刻含義的時刻，上臺演講發言。

　　90年前的五月四日，3000多北京學生高呼“外爭國權，內懲國賊”、“取消二十一條”、“拒絕在合約上簽字”等口號，掀開了中國革命的新篇章。這既是一場影響深遠的偉大的愛國運動，也是一場深刻的思想解放的運動和新文化運動。

　　是的!這就是偉大的五四愛國運動。

　　在這場波瀾壯闊的革命青年運動中，愛國主義精神同科學、民主精神凝聚為一體，共同創造了既有深刻內涵、又有鮮明時代特征的“五四”精神。“五四精神”是中國青年強烈愛國熱情的體現、是一種追求進步的精神、是一種不畏艱難，頑強斗爭的精神、它是革命前輩們，給我們留下的一筆中華民族寶貴的精神財富-----愛國、進步、民主、科學。

　　然而培根曾經說過：“青春是易逝的，你揮霍它，時間也會拋棄你。”作為新世紀的青年，是我們最先觸碰時代的前沿，也是我們，心跳牽動著民族的脈搏。

　　作為新世紀的大學生，我們要樹立遠大的理想。

　　人的一生只能享受一次青春，當一個人在年輕時就把自己的人生與人民的事業緊緊相連，他所創造的就是永恒的青春。我們要堅持勤奮學習，立志成才。二十一世紀，信息交流日益廣泛，知識更新大大加快。形勢逼人自強、催人奮進。我們要跟上時代步伐，更好地為現代化建設貢獻力量就必須學習學習再學習，打下堅實的知識功底。我們要善于創造，在學習中要善于創新，善于實踐，善于把所學的知識運用到改造自我、提高自我中去，不斷成才。

　　我們要注重錘煉品德。優良的品德對人的一生至關重要。在全社會提倡誠信、講究文明的今天，已經成為知識分子的青年大學生們更應該樹立正確的世界觀、人生觀、價值觀，樹立起正確的名利觀，努力培養良好的品德，提高綜合素質，完善人格品質，做有益于祖國和人民的人。

　　國家的繁榮富強、人民的富裕安康、社會主義制度的鞏固和發展需要幾代人，十幾代人甚至幾十代人的努力。艱苦能磨練人，創業能造就人。青年一代的我們，只有做到勤儉節約、艱苦奮斗，才能順應時代發展的潮流，才能真正地做到把個人的前途和命運與國家、民族的前途和命運緊密相結合。同人民緊密相結合，為祖國奉獻青春，這是當代青年最嘹亮的口號，我真心地希望，這不僅僅是口號，更是我們青年一代的旗幟!
