On Conversion of Parts of Speech in Translation of International Economic Contracts
Abstract
With the increasing of our foreign economic trade activities, international economic contracts play a more and more significant role. The quality of its translation directly impacts the execution of the contract itself. Conversion, as one of commonly-used translation techniques, is to be seen nearly everywhere in international economic contracts. The thesis, making full use of pragmatics principle and two basic translation norm—faithfulness and accuracy, has mainly talked about wide application of international economic contracts and importance of accurate translation. And it also expounds conversion of parts of speech as common means of translation in international economic contracts and conversions used in international economic contracts. In order to make contracts more effective and reduce less disputes and troubles, it is important for people to master common method of translation—conversions in IEC, such as nouns in English converted into verbs in Chinese, “passive” voice into “active” voice, and so on.

摘 要
隨著我國(guó)對(duì)外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易活動(dòng)的增多，涉外經(jīng)濟(jì)合同發(fā)揮著越來(lái)越重要的作用。其翻譯質(zhì)量直接影響著合同的有效履行。本論文運(yùn)用語(yǔ)用學(xué)和兩大基本翻譯原理（忠實(shí)和準(zhǔn)確），重點(diǎn)研究了涉外經(jīng)濟(jì)合同在當(dāng)今頻繁的經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)中的廣泛應(yīng)用以及對(duì)其進(jìn)行準(zhǔn)確翻譯的重要性。詞類(lèi)轉(zhuǎn)換,作為1種常用的翻譯技巧，在涉外經(jīng)濟(jì)合同中幾乎到處可見(jiàn)。論文中列舉了詞類(lèi)轉(zhuǎn)換在涉外經(jīng)濟(jì)合同中的多種形式，如英語(yǔ)名詞轉(zhuǎn)換成漢語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞，或英語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞轉(zhuǎn)換成漢語(yǔ)名詞，被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)轉(zhuǎn)換成主動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)等等。因此，掌握詞類(lèi)轉(zhuǎn)換的使用對(duì)正確理解合同意思是非常重要的。本論文旨在使人們更加重視合同翻譯的質(zhì)量，以減少在頻繁的經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)中因?qū)贤斫獠煌鸬牟槐匾穆闊┖蜖?zhēng)端。
