　　(一)超速行駛的'原因

　　Harry and Lloyd were speeding down the road. A police car pulled them over.

　　哈里與勞埃德超速行駛，一輛警車攔住了他們。

　　"Why on earth were you driving so fast?" the policeman yelled.

　　“你們?yōu)槭裁撮_那么快?”警官喊道。

　　"Our brakes are no good, so we wanted to get there before we had an accident!

　　“我們的剎車不好，因此我們想在發(fā)生事故前趕緊到達(dá)目的地。”

　　Father: Oh, Jack, you have slept away the whole morning. Don't you know you are wasting time?

　　Jack: Yes, dad. But I've saved you a meal, haven' I?

　　"No,sir,but you said yesterday that everything you told me went in one ear and out the other ,so I am trying to stop it."

　　“沒有,老師.可是你昨天說你告訴我的知識都是一個耳朵里進(jìn),一個耳朵里出,所以我要把它堵在里面.”
